1 Carl Edwards celebrated his 29th birthday on Friday, won the Nationwide Series race on Saturday and made the Michigan sweep on Sunday after leading 84 laps. The back-flip was good, but he didn’t stick the landing.

Big problems for some of the top 12 in points…
-Jimmie Johnson bounced off Tony Stewart and his teammate Jeff Gordon, Johnson battled back, but then finished the race flying through the grass coming to the line…the 48 finished 17th
-Jeff Gordon’s tire blew a few laps after hitting the 48, he did not finish and ends up 42nd
-Dale Earnhardt Jr. bounced his #88 off the wall sending him to 23rd
-Kasey Kahne had engine problems and finished 40th
-Denny Hamlin’s #11 engine exloded with 5 laps to go, Denny said “they don’t deserve to be in the Chase. Hamlin grabs 39th
