-Carl Edwards used some strange pit strategy early on to “avoid” a pit road scuffle.

-Jeff Gordon’s nose on the #24 was mangled when he took evasive action from David Reutimann’s tire explosion. The 24 car had to go to the garage area for repairs. He finished 38

-Denny Hamlin’s tire blew on his #11, his car hit the wall hard sending Denny to the hospital for evaluation. Hamlin finished 39th

THE BIG ONE (9 cars, No Chase Drivers)
Brian Vickers tire blew taking out the cars of Martin Truex Jr., Terry Labonte, Tony Raines, David Gilliland, Mike Skinner, Kasey Kahne, Aric Almirola, and Jamie McMurray. Amazingly, no chasers were involved in this one.

THE BIGGER ONE (11 cars, Many Chase Drivers)
With just 14 laps to go a massive wreck happened when Carl Edwards tried to bump draft his teammate Greg Biffle and it didn’t work out so well. 11 cars were involved including 6 Chase drivers like Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch
