Not just monetary penalties either, I'd sideline him for at least 2 or 3 races, if not for the rest of the season. He could've killed Montoya. Someone could have been injured or killed as a result of Gilliland's intentional wreck causing move. It is time that NASCAR put an end to these stupid retaliatory maneuvers and not only panelize teams and drivers, but suspend guilty parties from participating in NASCAR sanctioned events. Gilliand's feeble excuse simply does not pass the smell test. And hopefully NASCAR doesn't buy it either.
