OTHER STORIES ON THE DAY

-Rain plagued this race from Sunday through Monday becoming a marathon race.  Even still it only lasted 227 of the 400 laps

-Kevin Harvick’s bad luck continues, pounding the wall early on and then a flat tire ripped apart his fender.

-This is supposed to be the longest race on the schedule, instead it was the shortest Coke 600 on record

-Another tough day for the #88 as Dale Earnhardt Jr. had his hands full with a bad handling race car. He finished 38th

-Kurt Busch had his blue deuce running up front, but had to pit for a vibration and never recovered.

-Mark Martin had a rocketship #5 car, but a tire got away from his pit box, and he ends up 17th

-Jeff Gordon continues to lead the points by 44 over Tony Stewart
