Jimmie Johnson wins 3rd Chase Race

1 Jimmie Johnson survived multiple restarts to win the final race for the Lowes sponsorship of the speedway. Jimmie sat on the pole, led practices, and serves notice that to win the Championship, the other drivers need to go through him.

OTHER STORIES ON THE DAY

-Some chase drivers had some problems in this one, Mark Martin and Juan Pablo Montoya got into each other on a restart, JPM finished 35th, Martin 17th

-Carl Edwards team simply missed the setup on his 99 machine for this race, and then blew a transmission, he finished 39th

-Denny Hamlin had engine problems for his second straight DNF and finishes 42nd

-Other Chase drivers finished like this: Ryan Newman 11th, Tony Stewart 13th, and Greg Biffle 16th
