Wow, 2 things really bother me here. First off, to the idiots who voted that NASCAR said they want drivers to be drivers…REALLY??? Let me pose with this question? What part of drivers being drivers is intentionally wrecking someone? Especially under those circumstances? Yes, the bump and run is part of the sport. When racing tight for position, it happens. Sometimes it can turn ugly. But Edwards was 156 laps down, 2 laps to go in the race and he was practically wrecking himself to try to get up and be able to wreck Keselowski. Can anyone name me ONE other sport where an athlete intentionally goes after another athelete with intent to injure, which can CLEARLY be stated here, and that said athlete doesn’t get suspended? Name me ONE!! NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB, FIFA, they will all suspend athletes. Which brings me to the second reason this really aggrevates me. NASCAR has no spine anymore. They let their “superstars” do whatever they want with no repercussions. 3 day probation??? You think that bothers Edwards?? You can never let the inmates run the assylum which is exactly what NASCAR is doing. Too afraid to suspend someone for a terrible act like what Edwards did. You want to keep drivers in line, hit ‘em where it hurts. Points and potential sponsor exposure. He should have lost all his points for the Atlanta race, and he should be suspended for 3 races, no probation. 4 races of not receiving points will get the message across real quick!! Of course, this won’t cut back on sponsor exposure because Roush would simply put another driver in the car for 3 weeks, but how much will that kill a driver to watch someone else in his car because he did something so stupid??

Now, prior to Sunday’s race, I was a Carl Edwards fan and had a lot of respect for his driving ability. I still have that respect for his ability, but I am certainly no longer a fan, and I have lost all respect for him as a driver. He should be ashamed. He disgraced himself, his team, and his sport.

I think Brad got what he deserved. Brad has been going around wrecking other drivers since he has been in the Sprint Cup Series. I beleieve that this was the 4th time he has wrecked Carl. I do agree that Carl used poor judgemnent on where he did this but I don’t think near as much, if anything would have been said if Brad’s car had not turned over. If I remember correclty. which I do, Brad sent Carl flying last year at Talladega up into the catch fence. Yes, Carl was trying to block him but Brad still made the descision to wreck him.
