Braun-Akins Racing goes Chevy Braun Racing announced that they will be moving both of their teams over to running Chevy's starting this weekend in Phoenix. The #32 of Jason Leffler is currently running Chevy's, and the #38 team was running Dodges since the Braun / Akins merge. Also look for Ryan Moore to drive the 38 this weekend, which leaves AJ Foyt IV out of a job since he is under contract with Dodge and Evernham Motorsports. April 19, 2006
Richmond race sold out again Richmond International Raceway has sold out it's tickets for their May race already. This marks the 29th consecutive Cup race that has become a sellout. All 107,097 seats are accounted for as they race under the lights on May 6th. This will be the 100th Cup race in Richmond's history. April 19, 2006

Brian Williams to GM Earnhardt birthday NBC Nightly News lead anchor Brian Williams will be the Grand Marshal for Dale Earnhardt Day on April 29th at the DEI shop. Williams is a long time NASCAR fan, as well as friend of Dale's, he'll share stories of his relationship with him as part of the birthday celebration. April 17, 2006
Keller out, M. Wallace in #1 Jason Keller is out of the #1 Busch Series ride and Mike Wallace is in (at least for now). Keller was supposed to make his 400th career Busch start this weekend at Phoenix as well as celebrate his 36th birthday on Sunday. April 17, 2006
Kyle Busch says he just 'chirped' his tires Last week Kyle Busch was pulled over in Richmond and ticketed for 'Wreckless Driving" which is a misdemeanor charge that could carry a year in jail, a $2500 fine, and drivers license suspension. Friday Kyle said that he simply 'chirped' his tires going from a gas station to a fast food restaurant next door. His court date is May 23rd, and we'll find out more then. April 17, 2006
Bumpers to be softer at 'Dega NASCAR has announced that softer bumpers will be used at Talladega in a couple of weeks. They are hoping to cut down on what is known as 'slam drafting' where one car rams into the car in front so both can go faster. April 17, 2006
Off Weekend - Tony Stewart Tony Stewart spent his off weekend at the track that he now owns, Eldora Speedway in Ohio. Tony is overseeing some renovations to the track and said "Now that I own a race track, I kind of understand why things are done a little differently, just learning about all the different aspects of a race."
