Official: Martin back for 2006
AAA will become the new sponsor of Roush Racing's #6 Ford for 2006. In addition it's official that Mark Martin will extend his "Salute to you Tour" and drive the car for one more year. Todd Kluever will take over in 2007.

Sorenson attempts Cup debut
Reed Sorenson will make his Nextel Cup Series debut this weekend in front of his home town crowd. Reed is from Peachtree City Georgia, and will take the wheel of the #39 Discount Tire Dodge for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Wilma wrecks Homestead-Miami Speedway
Homestead-Miami Speedway has significant damage from hurricane Wilma this week. However track president Curtis Gray says they will be ready for the season finale weekend where all three series will finish the season.

Marlin inks multi-year deal with MB2
Sterling Marlin has signed a multi-year contract to drive the #14 Chevrolet for MB2 Motorsports starting next year. The 14 will replace the 10 car, and the 2005 owner points earned from this year will also transfer over. Details are still getting worked out for sponsorship of the ride.

Wimmer out of #22 for 2006
Scott Wimmer is leaving Bill Davis Racing at the end of the year. As you already know, Michael Waltrip is coming over the BDR along with Napa Autoparts, but no word yet on who will take the wheel of the #22 Carerpillar Dodge for 2006.

2006 Busch & Truck Schedules announced
Busch Series 2006 schedule has been announced, and they will head to Martinsville in July and Pikes Peak is off the schedule. In addition, they will head to Mexico City for the second year in a row. In the Truck series, Talladega Superspeedway has been added in October, and Mansfield Ohio has been shuffled around the Charlotte race.

-Several Chase drivers had issues, Mark Martin and Carl Edwards both had brake problems, Mark's even caught fire he finished 34th, Carl 36th

-Matt Kenseth and Rusty Wallace were involved in separate spins and Matt finished 12th and a 19th for Rusty after his #2 Dodge went spinning late in the race
