Sponsors pull out from 2 teams A couple teams sponsors are leaving their long time associations. First Georgia Pacific / Brawny will no longer sponsor Kyle Petty's #45 Dodge beyond this season. And second Valvoline is pulling out of its sponsorship of Scott Riggs #10 Chevrolet at seasons end. Although Valvoline did say ""We will have something to announce soon." June 30, 2005
Fernandez to drive 4 more in #5 car Hendrick Motorsports has announced that Adrian Fernandez will drive the #5 Busch car in 4 more races this year. After leading 4 laps, and finishing 10th at the race in Mexico City, Adrian will race at California, Texas, Phoenix, and Homestead-Miami to close out the season. June 30, 2005

1 Tony Stewart grabs his 20th career win, 4th on a road course and his first win of 2005.
OTHER STORIES ON THE DAY
-Dale Earnhardt Jr. cut a tire from contact with Mike Bliss on lap 3 and finished 42nd.
-Jeff Gordon started on the poll, had a strong car, but transmission problems left him with 33rd.
-Teammate Jimmie Johnson also had his transmission stuck in 3rd gear, he also spun his 48 car and ends up 36th.
-Kasey Kahne had his throttle stick and ran into Brian Vickers then the tire barrier.
-Greg Biffle started 41st, came all the way to finish 14th and claim the points lead for the first time in his career over Jimmie Johnson by 22 points
