Awards Ceremony - Tonight (Fri) The NASCAR Awards Ceremony happens tonight at 9pm Eastern on TNT and will feature performances by singers Gavin DeGraw, Toni Braxton and featured guest comedian Jay Mohr. Obviously they're going to run down the top 10 drivers of 2005 featuring champion Tony Stewart. Plus reveal 2005's Most Dramatic Moment as voted on by you the fan from nascar.com, announce the Raybestos Rookie of the year and show tons of highlights from the season. KHI gets Hornaday for 13 Busch events Kevin Harvick Incorporated has a new contract with The Outdoor Channel to run in 13 Busch races next year. Two time Truck Series Champion Ron Hornaday takes the wheel for those races, Ron has 158 career Busch Series starts. December 2, 2005
Blaney to drive #22 Dave Blaney has been inked as the new driver of the #22 Caterpillar car for next year. Bill David Racing has also announced Kevin Hamlin will become the new crew chief of that ride coming over from Richard Childress Racing, he was actually Blaney's chief in the #07 Jack car. Petty's out of Sprint Car League The Richard Petty Driving Experience announced that it has withdrawn its support of the National SprintCar League effective immediately. Kyle Petty said "We formed this series with the intention of rebuilding and growing winged sprint car racing. We had a clear vision about how to undertake this. Unfortunately, our vision for the future of sprint car racing was not shared by all of the key stakeholders in the sport." November 30, 2005
Yates sets his 2006 lineup Robert Yates Racing has announced it's 2006 lineup that includes Dale Jarrett in the #88 UPS Ford, and Elliott Sadler driving the M&M's Ford. They each get new crew chiefs for next season, for Jarrett, Richard "Slugger" Labbe will make the calls atop the box, and for Sadler Tommy Baldwin comes over from Kasey Kahnes team to run things on the #38. Schrader & Jr. buy a racetrack Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Ken Schrader have bought Paducah International Raceway in Kentucky. it's a 3/8ths mile , high banked, clay oval that seats about 5,000. Ken Schrader will race anything with wheels, and owns another track in Missouri, and Dale Jr. caught the dirt track bug while at Schraders other track. November 30, 2005
Stock cars make some noise in NYC It's Champions Week in the Big Apple, and Tony Stewart is on the Today Show on NBC, and all 10 of the Chase cars will drive through the streets of New York City. The stock cars will rumble from Rockefeller Center to NASCAR's NYC's headquarters on Park Avenue. It's almost a 2 mile trip and is really an amazing thing to see November 30, 2005
Kyle Petty nominated for SI SOTY award Kyle Petty has been nominated for Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year award. Kyle is actually the first stock car driver to ever be nominated, and is up against Lance Armstrong, Reggie Miller, Scott Posednik and others. Why is Kyle up for this award? Mainly for his dedication and leadership of the Victory Junction Gang Camp for kids. The winner will be announced next month. November 28, 2005
MB2 inks Waste Management MB2 Motorsports recently announced that Waste Management will be the primary sponsor for Sterling Marlin's new ride for 12 races next year. They will also be a major associate sponsor on the car for 24 of the races as well. Sterling said “Waste Management is all about teamwork and that's exactly what the No. 14 team will be about. I am very excited about my new ride, new crew chief (Doug Randolph) and now a new sponsor."

NASCAR invades New York City this week NASCAR invades New York City this week as NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Champion’s Week gets going. Champion Tony Stewart actually started early with an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman on Friday night.
Here's a brief run-down of just some of the things happening in the Big Apple this week:
Monday Tony will visit Rockefeller Center and appear on the Fox News Channel
Tuesday they'll visit the Staten Island Hospital Pediatric Burn Unit and FDNY Fire Academy
Wednesday it's the Today Show and annual Victory Lap...stock cars rumbling down Park Avenue is always awesome
Thursday it's the New York Stock Exchange and Times Square
Friday caps things off at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel for big Awards Ceremony.
