Harvick still in Daytona pain Kevin Harvick is apparently still sore from his Gatorade Duel at Daytona wreck back on Feb. 17th. So Brandon Miller will be on deck this weekend to take over if Kevin decides he isn't able to wheel the #21 Chevy. Kevin is concerned that the pain of shifting the car at a road course will affect his driving. March 3, 2005
Rudd carries new scheme Ricky Rudd will carry a new paint scheme on his #21 Ford at Texas and Michigan. Rent-A-Center will be the primary for those two races, and an associate for the rest of 2005. March 3, 2005
Open House at Orleans Racing If you plan on going to the race in Las Vegas next week, Orleans Racing is inviting fans to their open house on March 11th. More than 170,000 kids, aged 5 - 12, will get the satisfaction of building their own wood model race car with expert advice from knowledgeable The Home Depot associates.
An award-winning program that The Home Depot stores have offered since 1997, the Home Depot will provide the complimentary car kits, tools and expertise to build the models, along with a kid-size The Home Depot orange apron and a pin for the children to take home.

Busch 3rd place car fined Todd Lohse the crew chief for the #32 of Shane Hmiel in the Busch Series has been fined $10,000 and suspended for the next 4 races. It comes from a rules violation regarding an unapproved hinged air deflector. The team is appealing, so Todd can be in Mexico this weekend. March 1, 2005

UPS coordinates Mexico travel UPS has signed on to handle the coordination of getting teams, officials, media etc. down to Mexico City for this weekends Busch race. Including the over 80 team haulers broken up into multiple convoys each with it's own federal and private security escorts. UPS will then handle everything in reverse after the checkered flag. Waltrip digs big hole While the big engine story of the weekend was 4 blown from Hendrick Motorsports, another one that really hurts is the #15 of Michael Waltrip for the second week in a row from DEI. Michael now sits 39th in points, with a huge hole to dig out of. February 28, 2005

Engines blow, Hendrick and more Even though a new gear was introduced this weekend that was supposed to lower the RPM's, engines they were a blowin'
Hendrick Motorsports had 4 out of 8 engine failures including Nemechek's and Jeff Gordon late in the race. Jeff finished a disappointing 30th, and drops from first to 10th in points.
Bad engines also took out Michael Waltrip for the second week in a row, plus Jason Leffler, and Ricky Rudd. This makes two DNF's for Waltrips #15 Chevrolet and drops to 39th in points. February 27, 2005
