Awards Banquet - High and Low lights
The 2005 Nextel Cup Series Awards Ceremony went down on Friday night, and there was the usual thanking of sponsors, awkward speeches, and video montages. Here are some of the high and lowlights of the night.

Among the highlights include:

-Actor Wil Farrell posing as Jeff Gordon since Jeff was in France for the Race of Champions.

-Carl Edwards seem to have the most natural speech of the night

-It was a running joke or theme for drivers to compliment their wives and girlfriends looks.

-Rusty Wallace's speech was touching since he is retiring

-Jay Mohr kept referring to old photos of Rusty back when he had big hair

Some of the lowlights

-Comedian Jay Mohr's monologue seemed downright mean spirited, but was funnier later in the evening

-Jeremy Mayfield's was very uncomfortable on stage with his speech, but that's why he drives a racecar for a living I guess
