DEI gives Moore another shot
Dale Earnhardt Incorporated has announced they will give Busch North driver Ryan Moore a second shot at driving their #81 car on Friday night at Richmond. He wrecked after running top-20 in his last start at New Hampshire.

Where did Kenseth come from?
Matt Kenseth is currently top 10 in points. After having a miserable start to the season, he now has 4 top 10's in the last 5 races, including a win at Bristol. We'll see if he can hang onto his 9th place spot, just 11 points in.

2006 Schedule announced
The official 2006 Nextel Cup schedule was released yesterday. The season will start on February 11th with the Bud Shootout, and end on November 19th at Homestead-Miami. Not much has changed, except Richmond and Darlington switched their May races, and Kansas and Talladega swapped in October.

Kahne honored in hometown
Kasey Kahne had a street named after him, and was given the keys to the city this week in his hometown of Enumclaw Washington. Kasey finished 6th in Sunday's race.

POINT STANDINGS | CUP SERIES
Drivers that have already clinched a spot in the Chase are Kurt Busch (he just has to start the Richmond race), Mark Martin, Rusty Wallace, Jimmie Johnson, Greg Biffle, and leader Tony Stewart.

Only 1 point separates Jamie McMurray in 10th place, from Ryan Newman in 11th place, with Jeff Gordon 30 points out of 10th.

Four spots are up for grabs in the Chase, and we'll find out on Saturday night who will be locked in.

VICTORY LANE

1 - 20 year old Kyle Busch and the #5 Kellogg's Chevrolet led the most laps, and survived a green-white-checkered finish to pick up the trophy. Kyle is the youngest driver to win in NASCAR's top division....the Cup Series.

OTHER STORIES ON THE DAY

-JJ Yeley spun his 11 car and backed into the fence after a good qualifying run.

-Jimmie Johnson brushed the wall, ended up changing a shock, and finished 16th

-Roush cars Kurt Busch and Carl Edwards had separate solo spins, but no damage to either machine.

-Dale Earnhardt Jr's engine blew up late in the race, he finished 38th and is essentially out of The Chase.

-Jeff Gordon fought handling problems most of the night, and ends up 21st.
