RCR issues statment The Speed Channel reported after the Cup race this weekend, that two Richard Childress Racing cars failed post race tech having to do with the wheel rim. Jeff Burton's #31 and the race winner Kevin Harvick's #29. A statement was released yesterday from RCR said "Our cars passed post-race inspection and officials at NASCAR assured us last night and again today that no one from RCR was told at any time not to bring a part back to the race track. The reported events and conversations did not happen." September 19, 2006
