Jeff Gordon has never sat on the Cup Series pole at Texas Motor Speedway, until this weekend that is. Points leader Jimmie Johnson didn’t have the help of a rain out, and will start 7th on Sunday. Roush Fenway drivers and second/third in points Carl Edwards will start 16th, and Greg Biffle 19th.
